ICEBERG is a highly collaborative project, with five PIs:
Heather Lynch (Department of Ecology & Evolution/Institute for Advanced Computational Science, Stony Brook University)
Shantenu Jha (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Rutgers University)
Vena Chu (Department of Geography, University of California Santa Barbara)
Mike Willis (Department of Geological Sciences, University of Colorado Boulder)
Mark Salvatore (Department of Physics and Astronomy, Northern Arizona University)
There is a large community of polar scientists using satellite imagery in their research, and developing new algorithms to automate the use of satellite imagery for large-scale analyses of biological, geological, or hydrological processes. As the ICEBERG copmmunity grows, we’ll link to members of the ICEBERG community here. For now, more information on the larger polar imagery community can be found at the Polar Geospatial Center’s website.
